Koshi Tappu Learning Ground (KTLG)

Known for its wetlands, Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (KTWR) in Nepal, is a critical staging area for migratory birds.

Within this context and in collaboration with local communities interested in conservation across the Eastern Region of Nepal, KTK-BELT, a US-based conservation and education non-profit initiated the visionary “Vertical University” project. Koshi Tappu is the first node of this project where they are currently working with Koshi Tappu Learning Grounds on biodiversity conservation through wetland restoration. We are the lead conservation technical partner currently collaborating with KTK-BELT and KTLG to restore wetlands and sustain long-term conservation goals in the region. Along with the restoration, we are consulting to build the capacity of KTLG for larger landscape management and organisational sustainability.
