The Kenono Foundation, founded in 2021, is dedicated to fostering collective ownership and responsibility for the comprehensive development of forest-dependent communities in Nagaland and its neighbouring regions. The foundation collaborates with the ‘Sendenyu Community Biodiversity & Wildlife Reserve’ in Tseminyu, a community initiative for nature conservation since 2001, which has received prestigious awards such as the Golden Beaver Best Film Awards (2016) and the Balipara Foundation Wildlife Conservation Award (2016).

With GroundUp, Kenono is developing a strategic framework and essential fundraising support. Our commitment goes beyond collaboration, as we strive to deeply understand the challenges, potentials, and opportunities of the landscape, all contributing to the expansion of Kenono’s biodiversity portfolio.
