The Gautala Wildlife Sanctuary is a hidden gem nestled in the Satmala and Ajantha hill ranges of the Western Ghats in India, lush with forests and grasslands.

The Gautala Foundation is led by local youth from diverse backgrounds engaged in conservation with the local governments and indigenous people. We are collaborating with the organisation to generate an ecosystem and species knowledge base, while also co-developing conservation management and livelihood strategy to further restore the habitats, water and food for wildlife and people.
